Liz King, principal
Liz King grew up in Sigel and graduated from Teutopolis High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Communication Education and a master’s degree in Communication Studies from Illinois State University. King taught English and debate at Mather High School, a Chicago public school, for ten years before returning to Teutopolis, in 2018, to teach English and dual credit Speech. While at THS, King earned her masters in educational leadership from American College of Education. She has coached debate, girls and boys tennis, and softball.
King has always wanted to be a principal and is thrilled to start her admin journey at Windsor Elementary. She is passionate about encouraging and supporting students and staff and building cohesive curriculum. King believes that a positive attitude and a willingness to work are keys to success.
King has been married to her husband Sean for ten years. They have four young children who sparked her interest in elementary education.
